The first thing to do when you want to post a photo is to sign up with an online storage facility. The one I use and recommend is called Photobucket. You can upload your photos to Photobucket and they keep them and provide you a code to post in a message so that you can view it on this website. Click on the Photobucket logo to open a free account.
Please resize your photos to no more than 800 pixels in heighth or width before you upload them to Photobucket. This can be done with almost any photo editing software, including that which came with your digital camera.
After you've resized your photos and opened your photobucket account, you will need to click on the button that says (browse) and locate the photo file on your computer and select it. Then click on the button that says (upload) to store your photo on their website. You can see what this screen looks like in the photo below.
After you have uploaded your photo to Photobucket, you will see a thumbnail version of your photo and four different codes listed beneath it. The bottom code of the four is what we will be using for this example. It is called the (IMG) code. The orange arrow in the photo below points to the code you want to copy.
Left-Click on the IMG code (pictured above). Now go to the message box in your post and Right-Click and Paste the IMG code in the text box as (pictured below).
Now all that is left is to Click on the Post Message button at the bottom of the post. You may also click on the Preview button and see whether or not you've got it figured out.
Any questions? Just let me know.
